The resulting solution contain little bits of white, filament-like matter. Amphotericin B in normal saline: Reconstitution or addition of normal saline amphotericin may cause precipitation. EBM Posted February 6, 2017 Author Report Share Posted February 6, 2017 Heparin mixed with penicillin/gentamicin/hydrocortisone: react with each other and get inactivated if their solutions are mixed before administration. Genatamycin with Penicillin G, ampicillin, carbenicillin: drug react with each other and get inactivated if their solution are mixed before administration. Ceftrioxone with Calcium containing products (Ringer's solutions, and TPN solutions) reconstitution can cause particulate formation.
