William Linton
There are 3 key components to getting a job in Canada: 1. Understanding the cultural expectations and norms of the Canadian workplace2. A well written targeted resume that highlights specific skills valued by Canadian Employers3. Understanding Behavioral Based Interviewing techniques Understanding what skills are valued by employers allows you to develop a targeted resume that will get you invited for an interview...the interview is what gets you the job. That 30-60 minute face-to-face meeting, with anywhere from 1-4 people, is where most people fail. Not because they are not qualified for the job, but because they did not understand basic techniques for answering behavior based questions that all employers ask.
