  3. C. Shingles is highly contagious and the virus spread by direct contact with fluid from the blister.
  4. D. A person with shingles rash only can pass virus to children and pregnant women.
Answer
Ans: C
Tips: Shingles is highly contagious and the virus spread by direct contact with fluid from the blister. The virus is not transmitted to others through sneezing, coughing or casual contact. A person with shingles can pass the virus to someone who never had chicken pox. If virus transmitted it can cause chicken pox not the shingles. Shingles rash should keep covered. Frequent hand washing helps to prevent the spread of virus. Shingles blisters eventually ruptures thus releases virus in approximately 3 to 5 days. Patients are infectious until the lesions are dried.
