A new Drug antidepressant is administered...Patient when took with fruit juice its shows decrease in quantity unchanged in the urine..when administered with antacid drug shows increse in eliminination rate..so, What can be concluded for the drug is...

A..weak acid

B..Weak Base

C. Strong Base

D. Neutral Drug

 

What will be the answer..What is concept about this questin..??

Antacids are base. When antacids reacts with acidic drug, it will neutralize and forms salts. So salts ionize in aquous solution. This will increase elimination drug in urine. So the unknown antidepressant is weak acid.
