  1. Pharmacy Assistant

     

    Our client is a growing provider of services within the life sciences industry. They are a fully integrated specialty distributor and patient support provider for pharmaceutical manufacturers, physicians and their patients. They partner with clients to design and deliver service innovative support programs.

     

    They have an immediate need for a Pharmacy Assistant responsible for dispensary duties including prescription entry/processing, picking/packaging and shipping of medications, answering telephone calls, accounts receivables and payments, maintaining inventory, and other administrative duties to support the pharmacy team.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Accurate processing of prescriptions for all programs/medications, including following up on insurance billing issues with third-party payers/patient support programs
    • Provide outstanding customer service to clinic staff, nurses and physicians primarily by phone/email
    • Label, pick and package prescriptions in accordance with standard operating procedures to ensure supply to patients in a safe, efficient and accurate manner
    • Adherence to all relevant guidelines including Standard Operating procedures and all applicable regulatory requirements
    • Ensure safe and appropriate storage of medications
    • Actively contribute to the ongoing review of pharmacy policies and procedures
    • Inventory management and reconciliation which includes ordering, maintaining and organizing appropriate inventory and packaging supplies to support dispensing
    • Developing and maintaining professional relationships with health care professionals, reimbursement coordinators, private payers and patients
    • Prepare medications for shipping, including packing into cold chain coolers
    • Accurately arrange for delivery services/couriers so that prescriptions are received on-time by patients/clinics
    • Call patients to schedule refills of medications

     

    Qualifications

    • One year experience in a pharmacy setting required
    • Experience with Kroll pharmacy software preferred
    • Knowledge and understanding of specialty medications along with third-party billing issues is an asset
    • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written in English
    • Ability to effectively communicate in French is an asset
    • Strong computer skills using MS Office (Excel, Word)
    • Excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
    • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
    • Proven ability to self-manage time, set priorities and multi-task to meet various competing work deadlines
    • Ability to perform all technical duties involved in the successful dispensing of medications
    • Ability to perform physical activities required of the role including the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and standing for extended periods

    Pharmacy Technician

     

    Our client is a growing provider of services within the life sciences industry. They are a fully integrated specialty distributor and patient support provider for pharmaceutical manufacturers, physicians and their patients. They partner with clients to design and deliver service innovative support programs.

     

    They have an immediate need for Pharmacy Technicians responsible for accurately performing aseptic compounding, inspection, and packaging of compounded products.

     

    Primary duties and responsibilities

    • Accurate processing of prescriptions, including data entry of prescriptions, scheduling refills, picking/labelling/packaging of medications, technical release of prescription, and preparing prescriptions/orders for delivery
    • Maintaining accurate drug inventory including purchasing and receiving medications and supply items, checking expiration dates, and performing scheduled inventory counts
    • Provide exemplary customer service to patients, physicians/health care professionals and medical clinic staff, primarily by phone/email
    • Adherence to all relevant guidelines including the established Standard Operating procedures and all applicable regulatory requirements as set out by the Ontario College of Pharmacists
    • Ensure safe and appropriate storage of medications, including ambient and cold chain products
    • Actively contribute to the ongoing review of policies and procedures as they pertain to pharmacy operations
    • Processing account payments and account receivable statements
    • Proactively problem solve third party insurance issues to ensure timely processing of prescription claims
    • Monitoring of fridge temperatures and reporting any variances directly to the Director Pharmacy Operations
    • Perform cleanroom activities including worksheet preparation, compounding, inspection, labelling and packaging of sterile preparations, maintaining the cleanroom and its equipment, cleaning/disinfection of cleanroom materials, and performing environmental monitoring duties while strictly adhering to cleanroom standard operating procedures

     

    Minimum qualifications

    • Registered (or eligible for registration) as a Pharmacy Technician with the Ontario College of Pharmacists,
    • Successful completion of a CCAPP accredited Pharmacy Technician post-secondary diploma program
    • Previous experience working in a pharmacy setting
    • Proficiency with Kroll pharmacy systems
    • Experience in the specialty pharmacy or sterile compounding is an asset
    • Knowledge of third-party insurance plans and pharmacy special authorization procedures
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English required. Ability to communicate in other languages an asset.
    • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
    • Ability to self-manage time, set daily priorities and multi-task in order to meet various competing work deadlines
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to work independently as well as within a team
    • Ability to physically stand for extended periods of time, and to lift and move up to 50 pounds

  3. Pharmacy Manager - Moncton, NB

     

    Our client is a growing provider of services within the life sciences industry. They are a fully integrated specialty distributor and patient support provider for pharmaceutical manufacturers, physicians and their patients. They partner with clients to design and deliver service innovative support programs.

     

    They have an immediate need for a Pharmacy Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the execution of all operational and compliance aspects of the pharmacy. The manager will be involved in the setup of the new pharmacy facility, including application for licenses/third party payer agreements. Upon opening of the new facility, the manager is required to perform pharmacist duties, including dispensing prescribed pharmaceuticals and compounds, provide consultative services to both clients and healthcare providers in accordance to all laws and responsibilities set by the provincial College of Pharmacists.
